Farm Camps

Trade screen time for sunshine, animals and a little dirt under their fingernails.

Scissortail Farm Camp gives children the opportunity to experience everyday life on a working farm. Campers learn by doing, whether they're caring for animals, exploring the property, working in the garden or discovering something new about the natural world around them.

HANDS ON LEARNING

From caring for animals and gardening to exploring nature, every day brings something new to discover.

ROOM TO EXPLORE

Days at Scissortail are designed to get kids outside, trying new things, asking questions and building confidence along the way.

REAL FARM EXPERIENCES

This isn’t just a farm-themed camp. Children get to experience the animals, land and everyday rhythms of life at Scissortail.

Riding & Horsemanship

At  Scissortail, riding lessons are about more than what happens in the saddle.

Students develop horsemanship skills through hands-on experience with grooming, tacking, horse care, safety and riding instruction while building a relationship with the horse they're working with.

Lesson Types

  • English Riding: Develop foundational riding skills, balance, communication and confidence.

  • Western Riding: Build practical riding and horsemanship skills in a relaxed, supportive environment.

  • Private & Small Group Experiences

  • More individualized instruction for riders or families looking for a personalized farm experience.
